Electric Funeral Could it be you’re searching for my time Could it be another you must find You won’t find me flying in the sky The place where I am flying ain’t so high Look down to the ground there I’m found Look down, won’t you look down To the ground, won’t you look down Could it be you’re looking far too high A place where angels flying in the sky I’m not flying in the zone right now You will find me closer than you know Look down to the ground there I’m found Look down, won’t you look down To the ground, won’t you look down Could it be you’re searching for my time Could it be another you must find You won’t find me flying in the sky The place where I am flying ain’t so high Look down to the ground there I’m found

Get Yourself Together Sometimes I know that you deceive me, other times I know you lie I tell you truths you don’t believe me, please tell me the reason why Is it that we should have parted When our love began to die Let’s go back to where we started Dreaming dreams like in the sky Get yourself together, we’ll make it together Love forever more What amazing circumstances, brought our true love to go stale Engine drivers take their chances, trains may someday leave the rail Is it that we should have parted When our love began to die Let’s go back to where we started Dreaming dreams like in the sky Get yourself together, we’ll make it together Love forever more Sometimes I know that you deceive me, other times I know you lie I tell you truths you don’t believe me, please tell me the reason why Is it that we should have parted When our love began to die Let’s go back to where we started Dreaming dreams like in the sky Get yourself together, we’ll make it together Love forever more

New Way Of Life Sitting on a beach on a Sunday morning Looking at the waves rolling closer to my door Telling me to look once more I’ve been around this town for a good long time Getting itchy feet, going to get me a big sign To move along the line Well I just can’t wait To find another time Think I’ll cross the border Find me a new world order Look for something closer to your door Might just make a new life No more trouble and strife Find a way to leave here and explore Making up my mind to find a new way forward Spent a lot of time thinking what it would be like To start a new way of life I’ve been around this town for a good long time I’m getting itchy feet, going to get me a big sign To move along the line Well I just can’t wait To find another time

Beyond And Before Sparkling trees of Silver foam Cast shadows soft in winter's home Swaying branches breaking sound In lonely forests trembling ground Masquerading leaves of blue Run circles round the morning dew In patterns understood by you Reaching out beyond and before Time like gold dust brings mind down To levels hidden underground Say a few words to the wind That's all that’s left of winter’s friend Reaching the snow In the days of the cold Casting a spell out of ice Now that you’re gone The summers too long And it seems like the end of my life Beyond and before Beyond and before Time like gold dust brings mind down

Sweetness 04:14
SWEETNESS She brings the sunshine to a rainy afternoon She puts the sweetness in, stirs it with a spoon. She watches for my moods, never brings me down She puts the sweetness in, all around. She knows just what to say to make me feel so good inside And when I'm all alone I feel I don't want to hide, hide, hide. Today she brought me in, told me where she'd been She put my mind at rest, put the sweetness in. I'll ask her for some time to go and look around She puts the sweetness in with a sound. She knows just what to say to make a sunny day And when I'm all alone I really don't feel that way. Tell me how would you feel with no world of your own and nobody to hold? I just can't see the way; I'm so glad it's today and you're here, you're here. She brings the sunshine to a rainy afternoon She puts the sweetness in, stirs it with a spoon. She watches for my moods, never brings me down She puts the sweetness in, all around. She knows just what to say to make me feel so good inside And when I'm all alone I really don't feel that way. Oh how I need her so I know she'll never go. She'll never leave me, believe me, no She'll never go, no no no.

Images Of You And Me I walk again through crowded streets and falling rain Knowing your back with me and it will always be the same. Calling to you in a dream, colours of a seagulls scream True love is like I can see, images of you and me. Now you’re here, I’ll be free, take my hand, stay with me I’m so happy deep inside, sorrows fading with the tide As the sun rises to the sky, now I know the reason why As we walk the sands down to the sea, reflecting images of you and me.

My Only Light In the darkness of the night My only light is your face. Those shining eyes like the stars Shine so bright in my face. Yes it’s you who sends all those nightmares away It’s just you who chase all my troubles away Give me your hand, take me home I don’t want to be alone. A place to be free A place for you to see A time to go, let go Love and unity.

Oceans 07:06

Singing To Your Heart There’s an ocean in your heart tonight The stars are shining in your eyes tonight I see your tears like raindrops falling from kind clouds They fall through space until they rest on the ground. The ocean moves through your heart and your mind Wash away those tears like jagged rocks on the shore ‘Cause I’m singing to your heart, singing to your heart, singing to your heart tonight ‘Cause I’m singing to your heart, singing to your heart, singing tonight. The power of your love, makes me forget myself It takes me high into the sky, and leaves me don’t know where The sun brightens your face, the moon gives light I lose myself in the love you have for me The ocean moves through your heart through your mind Wash away those tears and smiles like jagged rocks on the shore ‘Cause I’m singing to your heart, singing to your heart, singing to your heart tonight ‘Cause I’m singing to your heart, singing to your heart, singing to your heart tonight. Love’s giving us a start it’s tearing me apart, the love I have for you, is more than I can do. I’m like a river meandering to the sea I lose myself in the love you have for me I don’t care which way, I go this way, I go that All I know is that its you who brings me back ‘Cause I’m singing to your heart, singing to your heart, singing to your heart tonight.

Jeanetta 04:32
Jeanetta Standing alone on a top of a hill, with the world at my feet Butterflies and feathered wings, weaving their patterns of delight Waiting for what will never come She’s gone with the wind that flutters your hair So gently before his eyes, how I wondered why she died Reach out to me, I have lost the world below All I can see is the face of Jeanetta Dying in the summer sun Taking with her all my love and happiness of a rainbow world Standing alone on a top of a hill, with the world at my feet Butterflies and feathered wings, weaving their patterns of delight Waiting for what will never come She’s gone with the wind that flutters your hair So gently before his eyes I wonder why she died Reach out to me I have lost the world below All I can see is the face of Jeanetta Dying in the summer sun Taking with her all my love and happiness of a rainbow world Leaving me with the agony of loving you Of loving you, of loving you, of loving you

about

New Way Of Life is about authenticity without compromise – a unique and very special album. At once distinctly different from all twenty-one Yes studio albums, it still has unmistakeable early Mabel Greer’s Toyshop vibes from the time Chris Squire, Peter Banks, Tony Kaye and Jon Anderson were in the band. The album demonstrates the evolution of the group from when it was formed in the sixties and how life experiences have since shaped the music. “We hope that Yes followers everywhere enjoy this offering. It’s a piece of history brought to life by technology of today. The album includes new versions of old classics like Beyond And Before, and a whole lot of new music too” said singer, guitarist and songwriter Clive Bayley.

The 11-track album co-produced by Yes bass guitarist Billy Sherwood. Billy also plays keyboards alongside Tony Kaye and bass alongside Hugo Barré. The album combines Bayley’s soulful vocals and wailing guitar solos with Tony Kaye’s distinctive keyboards. Mabel Greer’s Toyshop deliver a vibrant, energised and occasionally otherworldly sound; with an eclectic mix of old and new music, the album doesn’t disappoint on originality. It was recorded after the two founding members Clive Bayley and Robert Hagger met up again after a gap of 45 years! Other members of Mabel went on to establish long and successful careers in the music business with Yes and other bands, while Clive and Bob ventured into the world of business. “It really was a miracle that we came together to produce this album” says Hagger. “It started out as fun when I met Clive again and he suggested a trip to the recording studio. The outcome was that we re-discovered the old magic – it was a big buzz working together again.”

Billy Sherwood adds; “On hearing Mabel Greer’s Toyshop wanted to get back together after so long, I was sceptical about how it would all sound – to my surprise it was actually very cool. Not only will this new album appeal to die-hard Yes fans, but also a whole new breed of followers. It’s such an exciting project to be involved in”.

New versions of Beyond And Before and Sweetness, from the very first Yes album in 1969, are included on New Way Of Life – the former co-written by Clive Bayley and Chris Squire and the latter by Bayley, Squire and Jon Anderson. Other new versions of classic songs on the album co-written by Bayley and Squire are; Jeanetta, Get Yourself Together, Images of You And Me and Electric Funeral. The remaining tracks are new compositions written primarily by Bayley.
